RESOURCES

NORCAL Golden Retriever Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization, whose mission is to rescue and place adoptable Golden Retrievers in Northern California in safe, loving homes; thereby improving the lives of both the dog and the adoption household.

We offer placement services for owners who need to give up their dogs because of changing life circumstances. We provide an alternative to taking their pets to an animal shelter or humane society. We also rescue abandoned, neglected, and even abused Golden Retrievers. About 300 dogs a year find a haven when they find us.

We are always happy to consider loving, responsible individuals and families as potential adopters for our rescued Cavaliers.

The dogs who come to rescue are of all ages, from youngsters through seniors, with most being adults. While some Cavaliers needing homes have special needs or ongoing medical concerns, most are healthy, and their medical needs are taken care of while in rescue. That said, families interested in adopting a senior or special needs Cavalier may have a greater chance of saving from us since these dogs are often harder to place.

SAGE Centers is the leading veterinary specialist practice in the San Francisco Bay Area – and has been since 1992. Our mission is to set the highest standard of compassionate, collaborative veterinary care that improves the lives of pets and people.

And, while our facilities feature state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and surgical tools, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, loving care, for pets and their families alike.
